ACertainty

Privacy notice for business enquiries

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This notice explains how personal data submitted through the ACertainty campaign is handled. It applies to the fleet enquiry form on this site and to the ACertainty Lead Gen Form on LinkedIn. For everything else on acer.com, Acer’s general Privacy Policy applies.

Who is responsible for your data

Acer UK Limited, referred to below as Acer UK, is the data controller for enquiries submitted through the ACertainty campaign. WEC Communication (WEC Sp. z o.o., Krakow, Poland) operates this promotions portal and runs the campaign on behalf of Acer UK. WEC acts as a data processor under a data processing agreement with Acer and does not use your data for its own purposes.

What we collect

Your name, work email address, company name, job title, the number of devices you are looking to purchase, and anything you write in the message field. When you use the LinkedIn form, LinkedIn passes the same details from your profile with your consent, and LinkedIn’s own privacy policy also applies to that step.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry and prepare a volume pricing proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, together with Acer UK’s legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We do not add you to marketing lists without your separate consent.

Who receives it

The Acer UK business team handling your enquiry, WEC as processor, and the technical providers that host the portal and deliver email. Data is processed in the UK and the European Economic Area. For LinkedIn submissions, LinkedIn processes the form under its standard safeguards.

How long we keep it

Up to 12 months after our last contact about your enquiry, unless a commercial relationship follows, in which case Acer’s customer retention periods apply.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, email cm.marketing.uk@acer.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Cookies and tracking on the campaign pages are controlled through the cookie banner and described in Acer’s Cookie Policy.
